The theme for Youth Camp 2009 was "Established." All of the lessons and sermons revolved around being established in the Lord. A lot of knowledge was passed on to each camper to help him/her become established in an often shaky life. But guess what? "The Choice is Yours" whether or not you listen to those who care for you and are trying to guide you through the rapids of life.
One of my favorite videos of all time!!! So why did I title it "Keeping it Real?" This video clearly depicts the struggle for your soul and the fact that the choice is yours as to who you listen to. But no matter what, Jesus is always calling to you, wanting to experience the dance of life with you and show you how awesome life with Him can be.
Although this lesson is geared for the Youth Leaders of the OK/MO/AR region, there are many golden nuggets of information within this lesson that will help anyone who wants to lead. Any successful leader needs to think outside the box, plan ahead, and strive to continually develop themselves as a leader.

to the Journal of the American Medical Association
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention provides the following statistics:
1. Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for youth ages 15 - 24.
(Only accidents, usually automobile, and homicide cause more)
2. Suicide is the 4th leading cause of death for youth ages 10 - 14.

possibly having thoughts of suicide.
